Annual International Conference on ADHD 2024

Gabrielle Anderson, Ph.D from Hallowell Todaro ADHD Center in the Bay Area will be speaking with me at the annual conference on Nov. 15th in Annaheim, CA. https://chadd.org/conference/

We will be presenting strategies from CBT, DBT and ACT to help reduce or reframe negative self talk related to having ADHD. .. Hallowell Todaro Center will show you practical ways to incorporate strategies from three evidence-based approaches (DBT, CBT, and ACT) into your individual and group work with ADHD clients.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) uses a skills-based, mindfulness approach to teach clients emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focuses on changing core beliefs and automatic thoughts, which can be helpful in reframing past and current challenges. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) focuses on building psychological flexibility and taking values-based action.

In sum, all three evidenced-based approaches can be applied in counseling ADHD adults and teens to embrace their neurodiversity to create a life worth living where they can thrive.
